Brief Introduction of Japan TiGLON's New Flagship Power Cord "White Tiger" 3000A
Japanese manufacturers rarely sell cables at more than 20,000 yuan. This price seems to have always been a "forbidden area" for European and American brand cable manufacturers. Non-European and American manufacturers, including domestic or Japanese cables, must be very skilled to sell at this price. Recently, Japan's TiGLON launched a 3000A White Tiger power cord, which pushed the price to the 20,000 yuan level.

Previously, TiGLON's 2000A power cord was quite popular at the price of 10,000 yuan, and received many positive reviews. So, now that it has entered the 3000A class and is sold for 20,000 yuan, does it still have a competitive advantage?
The new power cord needs to be burned in, so I plugged it into the Minimore 15 subwoofer!

After that, I lent it to "Chai Da" in the Headphone Club Forum. Chai Da only plays headphone systems and has auditioned and compared many power cords on his standard headphone system, so his listening experience is very reference for headphone systems.
I have excerpted Chai Da's listening experience as follows:
1. As soon as I turned on the sound, the mid-range pitch was finally correct! I burst into tears... I can keep the 1 star.
The mid-frequency band is also the most powerful and ear-attracting area of the "White Tiger" line. The human voice is very cohesive + ultra-high density + distinct texture, and at the same time adds a layer of "bright luster" (which the old flagship does not have), and the result is that it feels very refreshing to listen to.
I prefer listening to popular female vocals, the mid-range of Tiglon White Tiger. I will use a female singer to summarize it at the end, and you will understand it at a glance.
2. The high frequencies are kept at a consistent level, with no unnecessary sibilance issues and good thickness and density. I don’t think it’s necessary to mention the thickness and density of Tiglon’s flagship, as this is already its core aesthetic.
3. The low frequency finally went down, and I was sweating. Why did this not become a problem when it came to the Japanese line?
4. The transparency is significantly improved compared to the old flagship, reaching the 20,000 yuan price range.
5. The sound field is average, smaller than that of the Super Time and Space (why is the sound field of Taralabs so great?). The mid-frequency position of the White Tiger is not far away, so the depth of the whole sound field is not as strong as that of the German line.
6. Is the tuning style still a bit restrained? Much better... But still a little behind the high-end European and American lines. 70 points --> 80/85 points, I'll just lie down and accept it.
The position in the headphone system is also more flexible, and can be used for both audio sources and headphone amplifiers. It is especially suitable for those with weak foundations and insufficient power.
As the vocals from Tiglon 3000a started playing, I seemed to see Joan Baez standing on the stage.
It should be said that the wires, whether power cables or signal cables, will feel different when listening in a headphone system and a speaker system. Some sound elements are more vivid in the headphone system, while some sound elements are more reflected in the speaker system. I mainly listen to the speaker system now, so I pay more attention to the performance of the wires in the speaker system. In my case, I mainly plug the "White Tiger" power cable into the power amplifier and the sound source (decoder) for audition.
Here I will briefly talk about my listening experience with the "White Tiger" power cord in the speaker system.
The mid-low frequency is indeed the strength of this 3000A power cord and what impressed me the most. The low frequency performance is excellent, with deep dive, good elasticity, and very solid cohesion. The low frequency that comes out makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Some American cables are also famous for their full low frequencies, such as PAD and KS, but I think the low frequencies of American brand cables have more "expansion" of energy, while TiGLON's 3000A gives me more precision and cohesion.
The mid-range is high-density and full without being convex, which does not cause "pressure" or "oppression". It is very pleasant to listen to, but has a strong sense of cohesion and entity.
The high frequencies are not colored, the purity is good, and there is no "special tone" or "grace" (essentially personalized taste) of many high-end European and American lines. It remains very neutral, pleasant to listen to, and has a low sense of presence. (The essence of pleasant listening is low distortion. Distortion often causes unpleasant listening.)
Overall, the sound is balanced, full, dynamic, and well controlled, always maintaining accuracy and stability. The scene and sense of scale are not as "super large" as some American lines, but they are very solid and credible. In essence, it maintains the sense of control and refinement emphasized by the Japanese, and will not give up these "core values" for the sake of super large sound field.
Compared with high-end European and American cables that are often loud, colorful, and have a strong sense of presence, the core value of the sound of Japanese cables and Japanese equipment is exquisite, restrained, and clean. TiGLON 3000A White Tiger is still rooted in this tradition and will not "overstep the line", but it has achieved a high level in the dynamics of the sound, low-frequency quality, mid-low frequency density, and accuracy. The description of "high quality, low presence" is still very applicable to it. Those who hope to introduce a certain "style flavor" or change the sound balance and correction through the power cord may not be suitable for considering it. Those who need a "low presence" and particularly "high quality" in the system, and need to rely on the power cord to "replenish vitality" to make the sound normal, if you can accept the price of 20,000 Japanese brand power cords, then it is worth recommending - whether it is a headphone system or a speaker system. It can be used for sound sources, headphone amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, integrated machines, and power amplifiers.
By the way, I can often see audiophiles sharing their listening experience online, saying that a certain power cord is more suitable for audio source, decoding, digital playback, preamplifier, headphone amplifier, power amplifier, etc. This kind of judgment is subjective and has a lot to do with each person's system. Excellent and comprehensive power cords are often applicable to all links. Except for the bus and post-stage cables that need to carry more power and have requirements for AWG (wire diameter), for other links, if someone says that a certain cable is suitable for CD but not for headphone amplifier, or suitable for integrated machine but not for preamplifier, I usually just laugh.
TiGLON TPL-3000A "White Tiger" is the kind of power cord that has a mild temper, high quality, and is versatile and comprehensive.
